Jeanette eventually moved to the U.S. in 2013 to attend Milton Academy. Her time in Boston fostered a true passion for professional sports. At Milton, she had the opportunity to work at Choate Hall & Stewart LLP as a wealth management intern. Jeanette was able to conduct research projects pertaining to ongoing estate law cases concerning out-of-wedlock children while also analyzing historical trends behind wealth management law in Massachusetts. This experience further cultivated her interest in studying law. At Barnard, Jeanette is a Shvidler Fellow, a member of the Athena Pre-Law Society, and a Network Committee member on the McIntosh Activities Council. She also serves on the executive boards of HeForShe Columbia. As a psychology major, Jeanette is particularly interested in the intersection of cognitive psychology and organizational psychology.

Last summer, Jeanette completed an internship with the New York Mets. She collaborated with a team of eight interns on a project to identify strategic partnership ideas to generate revenue during COVID-19. At the end of the summer, the team delivered recommendations to the Chief Revenue Officer and VP. Additionally, she familiarized herself with the operations of legal counsel, marketing, business intelligence, and venue services departments through nine biweekly Zoom sessions with department executives. The experience elevated her understanding of brand, team, and agency stakeholder responsibilities at a professional baseball team.

Additionally, last June, Jeanette joined Dwellness In-Home Psychological Services PLLC as a digital marketing strategy intern and presently holds the position. Her responsibilities have included competitor and best practices research, the design and implementation of a social media marketing calendar, and all advertising account management. She also drafts and sends out weekly cold-outreach pitches.
